Is Shields saying that reality tv is more interesting and relevant than Masterpiece Theater just because the latter is based on plot and character? Isn't reality tv now pretty much staged and controlled? I'll say this, you've got me interested in Shields' book. Or maybe I'm just as querulous as he is and as perhaps you are and would like to read a book made of fast brief comments.
